The primary mandate of the Trust is the promotion and encouragement of projects for personal development with the object for improving the conditions of life for children.

The Cidel Charity Cup is the major method of raising funds. Cidel Bank & Trust sponsors 100% of the administrative costs of this initiative, and thus allowing all funds raised to be donated. The disbursement of the funds raised is managed solely by The Children First Trust. The trustees are: Peter Douglas, Chris Skinner and Adriel Brathwaite.
